Clive

Clive is one of our diesel locomotives at the Heatherslaw Light Railway and today is mainly used for lighter duties. As our trains have become longer since the railway opened in 1989, Clive is now best suited to operational and support work rather than regular passenger services.

He is most commonly used for shunting duties at Heatherslaw, where he plays an important role in the day-to-day running of the railway, assisting with stock movements and yard operations. His reliability makes him a valuable and practical part of our fleet.

Clive does, however, occasionally venture out on passenger trains, particularly during special events, giving visitors the chance to see him at work on the main line.
